NJBIZ Names Datapipe Among New Jersey’s Fifty Fastest Growing Companies

Datapipe / NJBiz - 2011 Fifty Fastest Growing Companies in New Jersey

William Pratt, VP Enterprise & Channel Sales, receives Datapipe's recognition as one of 2011's Fifty Fastest Growing Companies in New Jersey

For the fourth consecutive year, Datapipe has been named one of New Jersey’s 2011 Fifty Fastest Growing Companies by NJBIZ!

To qualify, we had to meet selection criteria that included a revenue size of at least $500,000 within the past three out of four years and growth in revenue over a four year period, dating from fiscal year 2007 to 2010. This was easy for us – we project Datapipe’s growth in 2011 will equal that of 2009 & 2010 combined. And, over the past 12 months, we have aggressively expanded to meet growing global demand for our services, recently completing significant data center expansions in New Jersey, Silicon Valley, London & Hong Kong and announcing a new green data center in Iceland.

NJBIZ and the program sponsors honored Datapipe during an awards dinner and ceremony on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, N.J. Datapipe was also included in a special supplement to NJBIZ on November 21, 2011.

We thank our customers and our partners for their support and the key role they play in our continued future growth!

Datapipe Team Completes Oxfam Trailwalker Event in Hong Kong

Datapipe Oxfam Trailwalker Team

Datapipe Hong Kong Oxfam Trailwalker Team: Philip Choi, Leo Lee, Turbo Wong and Michael Leung

We announced in September the sponsorship of a four person team from Datapipe Hong Kong to participate in the annual Oxfam Trailwalker race through Hong Kong’s MacLehose Trail. The event, which officially started on Nov. 18, is a demanding physical challenge in which approximately 1,000 teams run or walk a 102 kilometer (or 63 miles) course in under 48 hours.

The Datapipe team, including Turbo Wong, Philip Choi, Michael Leung and Leo Lee, has set a team goal of completing the course in 36 hours. Since announcing their participation, the team members have been committed to their training regimen, including weekly 5km walks and a rehearsal walk on October 29th of over 60km. Through this rigorous preparation process, the team has become healthier, more fit, and closer as friends and coworkers.

When the Datapipe team finally hit the trail, they were supported at six check points with food, drinks and clothing necessary to keep them going for the long haul. The team completed the trail in 38 hours and 41 minutes – a significant achievement considering the most difficult section of the trail was met with a night of torrential rainfall.

The Datapipe team is also hoping to reach their fundraising goal of HK$70,000 (about $8,972 US). It’s not too late to contribute to our team’s efforts in supporting the mission of Oxfam International. To do so, please visit the Datapipe Donation Page.

Congratulations to Team Datapipe!!!

EPA Recognizes Datapipe for Commitment to Green Power

EPA Recognizes Datapipe for Commitment to Green PowerIn an industry known for considerable power consumption, Datapipe recognizes its responsibility to continually support long-term sustainability worldwide. This is why we currently purchase nearly 56 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power annually to meet 100 percent of our electricity use in the U.S. That’s the equivalent to avoiding the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of nearly 7,000 passenger vehicles per year, or the CO2 emissions from the electricity use of nearly 6,000 average American homes annually!

As a result of our sustainability efforts, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has chosen Datapipe as one of ten organizations nationwide to receive a Green Power Leadership Award for our green power purchase. We received the award today at an event held in conjunction with the 2011 Renewable Energy Markets Conference in San Francisco, Calif.

The EPA’s annual awards recognize the country’s leading green power users for their commitment and contribution to the development of voluntary green power. We would like to thank the EPA for this recognition of our ongoing green efforts.
